MFPs or Multi-Function Peripherals, have increased tremendously in popularity. These machines allow you to print, copy, scan and fax from a single device, making them very cost effective. Using a networked MFP with Remark Office OMR involves scanning forms into image files and then having Remark read those images. We’ll show you some tips and tricks on how to make this process as seamless as possible, including optimal settings and suggestions for image storage.

This webinar is targeted to Remark Office OMR users who are using an MFP to scan forms that are to be processed in Remark Office OMR. Basic Remark Office OMR usage knowledge is expected.

Generic answer sheets can be quickly adapted to many different tests. Remark Office OMR 8 makes it easy. This webinar shows you how by reviewing the template file for a generic answer sheet and then using Easy Grade and the Grade Wizard to grade several different tests. We do not review form creation or template creation in Remark Office OMR, but focus on processing different tests with varying numbers of questions using the same standard answer sheet.

You use the Automation Control Center to setup configuration files that open templates, kick off reading of forms (scanning or images), and then run reports. This webinar is targeted to intermediate/advanced Remark Office OMR users who know how to use Remark Office OMR and want to better understand what information they can get out of Remark Quick Stats for use in other applications.
Remark Office OMR has a Database Lookup feature that can: 1) verify that the recognized data from a region appears in an external database and 2) lookup by that data in the region and either replace the recognized data or append additional fields from an external database and insert it into your processed form data. For example if students fill in their ID numbers on the forms being processed with database lookup Remark can lookup that student ID in an external database and either replace the ID with the student name or append the student name to the data. It’s a great way to add data to your analysis without having to put it on the physical form.

Analysis Groups can be extremely beneficial for users collecting survey data. The Analysis Groups feature can be accessed using the Survey Wizard in Remark Quick Stats and allows you to create and analyze subsets of questions on your form. This feature is particularly useful when trying to collect information from different sections of your form which contain like questions. We will also cover how to use Analysis Groups with benchmark values and group weights. The webinar will also cover the reporting options generated by using Analysis Groups.

This webinar is targeted for Advanced Remark Office OMR users who understand how to use Remark Quick Stats and want to better understand how to use Analysis Groups. We will be using Remark Office OMR to demonstrate the feature, but this feature can also be used in Remark Classic OMR and Remark Web Survey.

Custom Report Headers allow you to customize titles and add graphics to your report headings and can be set up in Remark Classic OMR 4, Remark Web Survey, and Remark Office OMR 8. Custom Headers can be set up in individual reports, and also in both the Grade Wizard and the Survey Wizard.

The Report Batch Wizard is a feature in Remark Quick Stats that may be useful in a variety of ways. This feature is especially beneficial when you need to generate multiple reports or automatically filter reports on specific criteria. The Report Batch Wizard can be used to provide reports by instructor for course evaluations or by teacher for graded tests. We will cover how the Report Batch Wizard generates multiple reports, auto filters your data, and exports your reports based on the information you have chosen to filter.

This webinar is targeted for Intermediate Remark Office OMR users who understand how to use Remark Office OMR and want to better understand how to use the Report Batch Wizard in Remark Quick Stats. We will be using Remark Office OMR to demonstrate the feature, but this feature can also be used in Remark Classic OMR.
This webinar shows you how to email data from the Remark Data Center and reports from Remark Quick Stats. You may use Outlook or your own SMTP (email) server to perform email functions. This feature is available in Remark Office OMR 8 and Remark Classic OMR 4 and higher.

While most people think of Remark Office OMR as collecting mark data (bubbles) the software also provides two other ways to collect data: Barcodes and OCR (Optical Character Recognition, machine printed text). Both of these data types are great for collecting demographic and static data. During this webinar we show you best practices for setting up barcodes and text on your forms. Then we show you how to set up the corresponding region types in the Remark Office OMR Template Editor.

This webinar is targeted to new to intermediate users of Remark Office OMR.
Remark Office OMR can automatically detect forms, pages of forms and respondents using its tracking features. You can place a barcode, printed text (OCR) or OMR area on the forms to distinguish them from other forms. Within the same form if pages are scanned out of order, you can use page identifier to collate them. Similarly, if respondents’ pages are accidently separated, you can use respondent identifiers to collate the data.

This webinar is targeted to intermediate and advanced users of Remark Office OMR software with an understanding of how to create templates, collect data and run reports.
There are many tools in the Remark Office OMR Template Editor that can make creating templates much easier. This webinar shows you things like copy and paste special, undo/redo (your best friend!), spell check, resetting page images, auto aligning images, setting up reusable answer scales, reordering questions and adjusting region borders. All of these items can save you time when creating your form templates.

This webinar is targeted to intermediate software users. The webinar does not cover form template creation in full, so there is an expectation that you know the basics of form template creation.
The Remark Office OMR Data Center includes a batch processing feature that allows you to process batch header forms along with your forms. Batch header forms can provide further information about the group of forms being processed that can make your data more meaningful. For example, if you are processing student tests or course evaluations, you can process a batch header form containing information such as instructor name, class name, class section, and so forth. The batch header form is processed once, at the beginning of each batch. Then the forms that correspond to that batch header form are processed subsequently. The data from the header form is pre-pended to (added to the beginning of) each data record. You can start processing a new batch and its corresponding forms at any time. The header data is also available when it comes time to report on data in Remark Quick Stats.

While there is no substitute for a well-designed scannable form, Remark Office OMR does have a host of recognition settings that you can tweak to help improve recognition of your forms. Much of the time the default recognition settings will work well for you. From region thresholds to ignoring large marks to compensating for damaged marks to adjusting for changes in contrast on your form images, we'll cover it all.
