Using an OpScan iNSIGHT 2 or 4 with Remark Classic OMR

You can use an OpScan 2 or 4 iNSIGHT if it is in OMR mode (not image mode). If the iNSIGHT only has a USB cable, or you have it connected to the computer with the USB cable, it is in image mode and cannot be used in Remark Classic OMR. If the iNSIGHT is connected to the computer via a serial port cable, it is in OMR mode and can be used with Remark Classic OMR (you can check the scanner's mode within its setup). If your computer does not have a serial port, you can purchase a serial to USB adapter and it can still work in OMR mode (make sure you set it to OMR mode in the scanner's options). The Keyspan USB adapter is recommended.
